Ronald Hernandez alias “ROHE ART” was born (1981) in Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela. As a child, Ronald was always interested in drawing, painting and being creative in any sense. His mother was a sociologist, but also made dresses. She was a big influence on his work style and, at a young age, he was inspired by colors and patterns when buying fabrics with her.

He was a busy teenager and liked to study. In 2001 Ronald graduated with degrees in Graphic Design and Fine Arts.
In 2003 he moved to London. There he worked in retail as sales advisor for a make-up and beauty brand and later in furniture. He had his coming out as a gay man in 2004 and moved to Alicante San Juan in 2020.

Ronald works with oil paint on canvas and sometimes a mixed technique of paint and collage of newspapers and magazine paper. His largest work is 200 by 150 centimeters. His subjects are people and he likes to play with gender, femininity and/or masculinity. The titles of his art says a lot about the person or the moment of connection or interaction with the model.
Ronald: “I am passionate about observing people and capturing intimate or personal moments in my paintings. Capturing states of mind and emotions, such as, depression, loneliness, happiness, sadness, love and privacy. These subjects are always my starting point”.

Ronald numerous expositions include “WE-R” during London Pride 2016 and “Confluence” (2015) both in Espacio Gallery and “Infinite Passion” (curator and organizer) at Nolias Gallery London (2012).
